This guide provides step-by-step instructions for connecting your Macbook to the classroom's AV equipment.
Note: The projector in the classroom is setup as DEFAULT to use the lectern Windows PC.
Equipment:
- A Macbook
- A classroom with AV equipment (e.g., projector, audio system)
- An HDMI cable (provided at the lectern)
- A Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter (if your Macbook doesn't have an HDMI port)
Steps:
- Turn On the Projector: Locate the red ON|OFF button on the R016H remote control and press it to turn on the projector. Please allow time for the projector to warm up.
- Select HDMI Input: On the projector's remote control, click the VIDEO button in the upper left corner to change the projector input to HDMI.
3. Connect Your Macbook:
- If your Macbook has an HDMI port: Plug the provided HDMI cable into the HDMI port on your Macbook and the HDMI input on the projector.
- If your Macbook doesn't have an HDMI port: Use a Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter to connect your Macbook to the HDMI cable.
4. Test the Connection: Play a video or presentation on your Macbook to ensure that the image and sound are displayed correctly on the classroom's AV equipment.
After Use:
- Change Input: When you're finished using your Macbook, change the projector input back to the Lectern computer by pressing the COMPUTER button on the remote control.
- Turn Off Projector: Press the red ON|OFF button twice to turn off the projector.
