📘 What Is Priority Registration?
Priority registration lets eligible students sign up for classes before general enrollment begins. This helps you get the courses you need to meet your academic goals.
Your priority registration date and time are set by the college and will only show once they are released.

🧭 How to Check Your Priority Registration Date
Follow these steps to find your assigned date:
🔐 1. Log in to Your SSO Account
Use your college Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials to access your student dashboard.
🖥️ 2. Open Your Self-Service Account
From your dashboard, click Self-Service.

📚 3. Go to “Student Planning”
This section has your academic planning tools.

🗓️ 4. Click on “Plan & Schedule”
This page shows your planned courses and registration timeline.

➡️ 5. Choose the Semester
Use the arrows at the top to pick the upcoming term. Your assigned registration date and time will show below the semester name.

Registration dates and times will only be visible once they are officially assigned.
To check your registration time:
- Log in to your student portal
- Go to “Registration” or “Student Services”
- Click “View Registration Date”
- Your date and time will be shown there
Register as soon as your time opens.
How to View or Download Your Unofficial Transcript from the Student Self‑Service portal
1. Sign in
Go to: https://myapps.microsoft.com/
Log in with your college email and password.

2. Open Self-Service
Click the Self-Service app.

3. Go to Academics
From the left menu, click Academics then on Unoffical Transcript.

4. View Transcript
Click Undergraduate Transcript → View Report.
Your transcript will open as a PDF.

Download or print the PDF as needed.

If you received a Debt Letter and want to pay your tuition at San Jose Evergreen Community College District, you have several options:
- Evergreen Valley College: e-mail to EVCBalance@evc.edu – you will receive a response within 5 business days.
- San Jose City College: Business Services Office at San José City College by calling (408) 288-3768, emailing sjccbalance@sjcc.edu, or visiting the Admissions & Records Office located in the Student Center.
- Online Payment: You can pay your tuition online through the student portal. Log in to your Self-Service account, navigate to the “Financial Information” section, and follow the instructions to make a payment. This method allows you to pay with a credit card.
- In-Person Payment: You can visit the Admission and Records Office on campus to make a payment in person. They accept cash, checks, and credit cards.
- Payment Plan: If you are unable to pay the full tuition amount upfront, you can set up a payment plan. This allows you to pay your tuition in installments over a period of time. To learn more about the payment plan options, contact Financial Aid.
Remember to pay your tuition by the deadline to avoid any late fees or enrollment holds.
Change Default Email in Self-Service
- Visit Secure Single Sign-on at https://sso.sjeccd.edu.
- Select the Self-Service icon.
- Click your username at the top right and choose User Profile from the menu.

- Check that your personal email is correct. If it’s not, update it.

- If your preferred email is incorrect, select the email you want as your preferred email.
Change Chosen or Preferred Name and Pronoun
To keep using your preferred name, log in to Self-Service and enter the name you want to be known by. Please note that setting a Preferred Name at San Jose City College, Evergreen Valley College, or the District does NOT legally change your name.
What is a Chosen Name?
A Chosen Name is a name you select to use in Canvas and on class rosters instead of your legal name. It’s the name you want to be recognized by, different from your legal name.
You can update your chosen or preferred name and pronoun in Self-Service:
- Follow the steps above to open the User Profile screen in Self-Service.
- Click the Edit Personal Identity button.

- Enter your chosen first name, last name, and pronoun.
- Click Save.
