Troubleshooting Email Has Been Blocked

An email message stating “Your email access has been blocked” means you are still using a legacy authentication method on your mobile device. Legacy authentications were removed when multi-factor authentication was implemented.

You will need to remove your email account from the phone or mobile device.  And then either re-add or download the Microsoft Outlook or Android app. Below are instructions for removing legacy email settings from your Iphone/IPad or Android.

Iphone/Ipad

Remove an Exchange Account from Iphone/IPad

Use these instructions to remove an Exchange account from your iPhone or iPad. 

1. Open the Settings App.

    

2. Within Settings, on the left pane, locate: Mail.

    

3. Select Accounts.

     

4. Click Exchange.

     

5. You will see your account and the items from that account that sync to your phone. At the bottom of the screen, select Delete Account.

     

6. You will be asked for confirmation at this point, select Delete from My iPhone. You have successfully deleted your Exchange account.
