Setting Up Google Authenticator for Android

What you'll need:

  • An Android phone
  • The Google Authenticator app (download from Google Play Store)

1. Download the Google Authenticator app from the Google Play Store.

  

2. Open the app. You'll see a cloud icon with a line through it, indicating you're using it without a Google account.

                         

 3. Tap "Add a code."

 

                                

Connecting Google Authenticator to Your My App Security Info:

1. Open a web browser and go to https://sso.sjeccd.edu.

2. On the dashboard, locate the Office 365 icon and click it.   

3. Under Security info, find the "+ ADD SIGN-IN METHOD" link and click it.

 

Authenticator Method

3. In the "Add a method" window, choose "Authenticator app" and click "Add." 

4. Click "I want to use a different authenticator app" on the following page.

5. Click "Next" on the next page.

6. A QR code will appear on your screen.

7. Use your phone's camera to scan the QR code displayed on your browser.

8. Your "Microsoft: San Jose-Evergreen..." account will now be displayed in Google Authenticator, along with a one-time password (OTP) code. You'll also see the "Authenticator app" option under Security info on your Microsoft account page..
